Phoenix Osteopractic Physical Therapy Testimonials

I took my son to see Russell after he injured his hip playing basketball. When we went to see Russell, my son was in pain walking. After the first treatment, my son felt better. Russell gave my son stretches to do at home that helped his hip flexor strain. We went back for a second treatment and my son felt very good after the second treatment. My son went from experiencing pain with walking to returning to basketball practice in a quicker time frame than expected.

My experiences with Russell were always top notch! He asks great questions to ensure that he understands the problem before getting to work on fixing them. When I could not tolerate one course of treatment he quickly came up with alternative approaches to address my issues. He is caring and compassionate in his approach providing his services. I have and will continue to recommend him to friends.

My treatments were tailored to my needs as a musician, mom, and occasional pickle ball player. Russell’s expertise and techniques, especially in dry needling, vastly improved the tennis elbow that has been plaguing me for a couple of years. With continued exercise and strengthening I have been able to avoid a third cortisone shot and am hopefully on the path to full healing!

I have several bulging discs with nagging back pain.  My hips and SI joints hurt intermittently too.  Russell does a spinal manipulation, and stretches my psoas, which is incredibly tight always, and my piriformas muscle.  He is lengthening my muscles to help me be more flexible.  Then he uses his craft gun all over my lower back, which feels fantastic.  He really works me out, but I feel so relaxed after as if I’ve had a massage.  He’s been a huge help to me, and I’m so grateful. He’s a very caring guy, supportive and encouraging.  He only has one client at a time, which I love, too.  He’s totally focused on me the whole time.

I injured my right wrist. I had to wait several months to get with a Hand/wrist specialist, which resulted in a recommendation for invasive surgery and long recovery.
I then was able to get an assessment through Phoenix Osteopractic Physical Therapy with Russell Darrington. After assigning several strengthening exercises with some specific finger exercising TheraBand devices and dry needling sessions, my pain and weakness is gone. I have been able to return to my regular activities within only 2 1/2 months of starting therapy with minimal downtime. I would definitely recommend this treatment option.

Phoenix Osteopractic Physical Therapy has eliminated my chronic back pain (sciatica) and the numbness in my left foot. Russell does a great job of evaluating the situation to find the cause of the pain and numbness. We started out with spinal manipulation/adjustments, electro-dry needling, myofascial release and body tempering. After 4 weeks we are down to one visit per week and working on corrective-therapeutic exercises to maintain the results. I have included a couple of pictures from Russell to show some of the items that were new to me. They also offer cupping and fascial mobilization.
