Physical Therapy

Each patient receives an individualized plan of care and treatment program using specialized Osteopractic Physical Therapy treatments designed to help you achieve and exceed your goals and meet your unique needs.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a practitioner puts special cups on your skin for several minutes to create suction. This treatment can be applied as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Medical Stretching

Stretch therapy involves the practice of assisted stretching and coaching, which aims to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall physical well-being through targeted stretching techniques and guidance from a trained professional.

Spinal Manipulation

Spinal Manipulative Therapy (SMT) is a treatment approach used by chiropractors and physical therapists to alleviate musculoskeletal pain and improve joint function. Research supports the efficacy of SMT in reducing lower back pain, neck pain and headaches by restoring joint mobility and reducing inflammation through manual spinal adjustments.

Runners Performance Training

We’ll design a customized exercise program addressing the unique needs of individual runners, focusing on preventing sports injuries and managing chronic pain. These programs may include strength training, flexibility exercises, and specific drills to optimize performance.

Shockwave/Acoustic Soundwave Therapy

Sound wave therapy – also known as extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) – is a quick, non-surgical, and painless treatment performed to stimulate regrowth of tissue. Low and high-frequency sound waves are used to cause microtrauma to the tissue under the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural healing process in the area.

Myofascial Release and Fascial Mobilization

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Also known as Graston, fascial mobilization involves a therapist “massaging” your skin with bladelike objects that do what your foam roller can’t, pressing the skin ultra-close to the fascia. That lets the therapist more directly affect this tissue.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a technique used by skilled practitioners to treat nerve, muscle and joint pain and muscle trigger points by inserting thin needles into specific points in the body. Research has shown that Dry Needling can help reduce muscle tension, relieve nerve symptoms, alleviate musculoskeletal pain, and improve range of motion by promoting a natural healing response in the body, promoting blood flow, and releasing natural endorphins in and around the targeted areas. Although Dry Needling is a very effective treatment in-and-of itself, it is only one part of a comprehensive whole-body and holistic treatment program.

Body Tempering

Body Tempering is a unique soft tissue treatment that involves applying deep and heavy pressure to muscles using weighted steel cylinders that are held statically on, or moved slowly along the length of a muscle. Body Tempering has been shown to improve soft tissue elasticity for load absorption, thus reducing the risk of soft tissue injury. It may also help reduce overloading of “Cinderella fibers” by improving the load tolerance/absorption of neighboring fibers, thereby reducing muscle fatigue and spasm.

Functional Movement Training

Medical Fitness

Because of our background we know the importance of keeping you in the activities you love and we find ways to modify your training so you can stay in your sport throughout the rehab process.
